Terms of Use

These Terms of Use and End User Licence Agreement govern your access to and use of the MyFoodFit mobile application and website at www.myfoodfit.co.uk. Please read them before using the service.

1. Who We Are

MyFoodFit is a product of JTM Chilton Ltd (company number 16473640), registered office: 49 Watermills Close, Andover, Hampshire, SP10 2ND, a company registered in England and Wales.

References to “we”, “us”, or “our” mean JTM Chilton Ltd. References to “you” or “user” mean any person who accesses or uses MyFoodFit.

2. Acceptable Use

You may use MyFoodFit for personal, non-commercial purposes to understand the nutritional characteristics of packaged foods. You agree not to:

  • use the service for any unlawful purpose or in a way that infringes the rights of others;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service, its servers, or any connected systems;
  • scrape, reproduce, or redistribute data, scores, or content from the app or website without our prior written permission;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the app or its underlying algorithms;
  • submit false, misleading, or harmful content through any feedback or contact mechanism.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for users who breach these conditions, without notice where the breach is serious.

3. Health and Medical Disclaimer

3.1 Not Medical Advice

MyFoodFit is an informational tool only. Nothing in the app or on the website constitutes medical advice, a clinical recommendation, a diagnosis, or treatment guidance.

You must not rely on information provided by MyFoodFit as a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional. If you have a health condition, a food allergy or intolerance, are pregnant, or have any other medical concern, consult a qualified medical practitioner before making changes to your diet.

3.2 Disclaimer of Warranties on Scoring Accuracy

MyFoodFit applies rule-based algorithms and published nutritional frameworks to interpret food label data. Scores and classifications are informational signals only. They may not reflect the full nutritional context of a food, your individual dietary requirements, or the most recent scientific evidence.

We make no warranty, express or implied, as to the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose of the scores, classifications, or nutritional information provided. The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

Product formulations change. Nutritional data may be incomplete, out of date, or sourced from third-party databases beyond our control. Always read the product label directly before making dietary decisions.

4. Subscriptions, Payments, and Cancellation

4.1 Subscription Management via Apple

Premium features within MyFoodFit are available via an auto-renewing subscription purchased through Apple’s App Store. All payments are processed by Apple Inc. We do not collect or store payment card details.

Subscription pricing, billing frequency, and any free trial terms are disclosed at the point of purchase in the App Store. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.

4.2 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings (Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone or iPad). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you will retain access to premium features until that date.

We do not administer cancellations directly. For assistance, contact Apple Support via support.apple.com.

4.3 Refunds

All subscription purchases are subject to Apple’s refund policy. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple via reportaproblem.apple.com. We are not able to issue refunds directly for App Store purchases.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, design, software, algorithms, scoring frameworks, brand assets, and text within MyFoodFit (the app and website) are the intellectual property of JTM Chilton Ltd or its licensors, protected under copyright and other applicable intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app and website for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these terms. No other rights are granted.

Nutritional data may be sourced from third-party databases (including USDA and Open Food Facts). Such data remains the property of the respective providers and is used under their applicable licence terms.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, JTM Chilton Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, MyFoodFit. This includes (without limitation) any reliance on scoring or nutritional information, data loss, or decisions made on the basis of information provided by the app.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for: death or personal injury caused by our negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you in connection with MyFoodFit shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) £50.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Where we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you via the app or by email. Your continued use of MyFoodFit after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer resident in another jurisdiction, you may have additional rights under the law of your country of residence that cannot be overridden by a choice of law clause. Nothing in these terms affects those statutory rights.
